Confirmation Classes
Classes are forming to begin in July for preparation for anyone desiring baptism, confirmation, reception or reaffirmation when Bp. Paul visits All Saints in November. The classes are also open
to any and all who wish to have a refresher course. Please contact Pastor Jane if you have interest in participating. Call either 610-377-2675 or 610-570-3360.
· Baptism: “Full initiation into the church by water and the Holy Spirit”. This can happen anytime of year by the priest. It is especially appropriate at the time of the visitation of the bishop. Baptism is “once and done” and accepted in every Christian denomination. There is never a repeat of baptism.
· Confirmation: This is for all who wish to express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop. This is for older children, teens and adults.
· Reception: If you have been confirmed in another denomination, but desire to be formally received into the Episcopal Church, then you are a candidate for being “Received”. It is not a repeat of Confirmation.
· Reaffirmation: If you are confirmed and/or received, and wish to made a “reaffirmation” of your faith and recommit yourself to the responsibilities of your baptism by the laying on of hands by the Bishop, then you are a candidate for reaffirmation.
· Refresher Course: This is for anyone who has been confirmed or received but desires a refresher course on the Episcopal Church and how we lead our life of faith in Christ. This will not involve the laying on of hands by the Bishop.
